Join 5lowershop Soundsystem on Saturday June 13th, 2020 as we embark on the second in our new series of Live Stream events, bringing together DJ's and producers from the USA, Ireland, and the UK and beaming them directly to you.

Given the events of the past week in the USA we are dedicating this programme to the Black Lives Matter movement and the co-existing struggles of minorities and POC who have suffered under systemic racism and police brutality in the US for far too long.

George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Philando Castille, Trayvon Martin - the list of black men and women killed at the hand of police officers in the US goes on and on. We stand with the families and communities unjustly affected by state-sanctioned terror. We stand with the protesters showing up day after day and putting their bodies on the line in the face of military-grade weapons deployed by police departments intent on harming them. We stand with all the victims of anti-democratic violence the world over.

In an effort to offer practical support to organisers who are doing the work on the ground in the US, we are asking our viewers to dig deep in support of the Anti Police-Terror Project to whom we will donate 100% of all proceeds from the event. The Anti Police-Terror Project is a Black-led, multi-racial, intergenerational coalition that seeks to build a replicable and sustainable model to eradicate police terror in communities of color. They support families surviving police terror in their fight for justice, documenting police abuses and connecting impacted families and community members with resources, legal referrals, and opportunities for healing. APTP are working towards the establishment of an all-civilian oversight structure with discipline power that includes both a Civilian Complaints Office and a Police Commission.
